Recollections is an opportunity to record an interview with you, about you. Effectively, it's the counterpart to a personal photo album.
Lasting for around 20-30 minutes, in which you might recollect some past life experiences, consider the present and look to the future. Alternatively, you could read a favourite poem or a short story. The recording, which will remain available to you via a simple internet link, is similar to a photograph, but with the very personal and human quality of your actual own voice, which is likely to be of interest to family and friends- perhaps to you too- in years to come. In preparation, please consider the following: Up to and including four topics which you would like to focus on, for example, childhood experiences, school and college, working life, relationships, children, holidays, hobbies/ interests/ enthusiasms, places you have lived, the unexpected, what’s happening now in life, future plans, and so on. You might wish to consider some of the details relating to the topics. (Please note that one area alone is fine.) The recording can take place in-person at your home, or online. Following the conversation you will receive an edited, high quality copy of the recording via an emailed electronic link, which you can simply click on to listen to. You can also share the link with family and friends. Another option is to have a short piece of music to begin and end the interview, either a piece of your choice or uniquely composed.
